Short Memo: Best Practices in Local Government from Cambodia

Cambodia is making good progress in developing best practices to share with other countries.

Both the CSO network, Cambodian Civil Society Partnership (CCSP) and the Cambodian Local Government Association, the National League of Communes/Sangkats (NLC/S) are working with municipalities to produce and publicise best practices in local governance.

The first best practices compiled by the NLC/S will be available at the end of 2013. They will follow the traditional DELGOSEA format and promise to give an insight into innovative and well-executed projects in Cambodian cities.

In the meantime, take a look at this good practice initiated by the Working Group for Partnership in Decentralization (WGPD), a civil society coalition that promotes decentralization in Cambodia:
