On January 18, it was an eventful day for pupils and teachers at Dipok Samaky Secondary School. It was Eco Day!

425 secondary school students and 130 teachers gathered on the school compound in order to celebrate the Eco Day. It started with the distribution of leaflets on how to protect the environment and basic knowledge on waste management and why it is important.

The dissemination was followed by segregation. The pupils brought solid waste which has been separated into plastic, paper and rest. This three piles then were sold to junk shops in order to re-finance the garbage collection service. The pupils are looking forward to a Quiz which will follow the Eco Days in their school.
