Activity 17: Second Phase Monitoring and Consulting of Pilot Cities during Best Practice Replication
Status: Finalised; Month: October 2011-August 2012
Following the midterm conference and the training of coaches on project monitoring (see activity 11) first monitoring visits took place from October 2011 onwards. The coaches and key experts are in touch with the pilot cities on an every day basis via email or telephone. Based on the agreed schedule coaching and monitoring visits were either being done every months or every two months, also depending on the consultation need. Each monitoring visits lasted for two-days. Minimum criteria were: one in-depth interview with key official responsible in project implementation; two interviews with beneficiaries of the project. The monitoring reports followed the standard templates on monitoring being developed by an international expert. After the visit, the reports were shared with the pilot city, the LGAs and the project team.
