DELGOSEA's Philippine Pilot City Alaminos calls on its constituents to support the city administration towards the Constructed Wetland project through the donation of certain, waste-water filtering, plants.

A CALL TO ALL CITIZENS OF ALAMINOS CITY: THE NEED FOR COMMON WETLAND PLANTS FOR OUR CONSTRUCTED WETLAND PROJECT

Save Our Groundwater, SHARE YOUR PLANTS, for the City Constructed Wetland Project. Interested Parties who wishes to SHARE THEIR PLANTS, kindly Contact Ms. Araceli Talania, City Agriculturist,TEL # 551-3101.

This wetland appreciation and awareness campaign is a component activity for the upcoming MASS WETLAND PLANTING DAY on JULY 4, 2012 at the City Constructed Wetland, Judges Felix De Castro Jr. Park at Palali St. Alaminos City Pangasinan (Philippines).

The City Constructed Wetland Project is the very first free-surface flow wastewater treatment facility in the Philippines. The objective of this project is the ecological restoration of our natural wetland system. Using all endemic wetland plants that naturally clean our city's wastewater, and protect our groundwater from possible contamination.This is do-able, low-cost and ecologically sustainable.

A project of the City Government of Alaminos Pangasinan (Philippines) in collaboration with the Democratic Local Governance in Southeast Asia(DELGOSEA), Local Governance Development Foundation(LOGODEF), League of Cities of the Philippines(LCP) and Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines(ULAP).
